We spent months researching and testing this recipe. We’re proud that it’s regularly referred to as the best blend people have encountered. Ras el Hanout is a complex, warm & floral Moroccan blend of 26 spices. Its delightful depth makes it perfect for lamb, chicken, dips, root vegetables, rice, cous cous, tagine cooking or anything you want. It’s a versatile blend. In fact, in Morocco it’s often referred to as the lazy cook’s spice because you can use it on anything and it makes everything taste better. In Morocco you’d be laughed out of the bazaar if you put anything less than 20 ingredients in your Ras El Hanout. However, in the USA, it’s uncommon to find one with more than 10. We put so many fresh, organic and authentic ingredients in ours (26), we had to create a custom label for it all to fit on the product. It’s absolutely divine. This is a very potent, impactful mix and you will want to use small amounts when cooking with it. While it is not necessarily hot, it certainly represents spice with some intensity.
